“Dreaming with Colour and Paint”

13th January to 31st January 2016

Popular Mid North Coast Artist Scott Jackson will be presenting his 17th Exhibition of Paintings at The Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery, Kinchela St, Gladstone. The Exhibition is titled “Dreaming with Colour and Paint”

The Exhibition will run from the 13th of January to the 31st of January 2016

The Exhibition will be open every day, from around 10.00am to 4.00pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.

Scott will be at the Gallery every day so you can meet and talk to the artist while seeing a display of the mediums,  technique and materials involved  in creating paintings.

The Exhibition will showcase over 40 New Original Paintings rendered in Oil , Acrylic, Ink and Mixed Media. Of special interest will be large works in acrylic and ink and also some works featuring “objets trouve” .

“ I like the experimental aspects of exploring new techniques and mediums as you never really know where the road will lead to “ Scott said. These works will take you on a journey down that road.

The paintings will show scenes inspired by the many landscapes of Australia including the local  area, as well as those further afield , for example,  Central Australia, Northern Territory, Flinders Ranges, The Great Ocean Road and Tasmania.

Scott’s popular Limited Edition Prints and Artist Made Cards will also be available.

Scott’s travels over Australia and the beautiful Mid North Coast have provided the inspiration for many of these paintings. Scott works in oil, acrylic and ink in a very textured and colourful style on canvas, linen and board. The works are offered in “Gallery” style, ready to hang or in a variety of frame styles.

“The Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery is a great exhibition space that provides a fantastic opportunity to display work to local residents and visitors to the Macleay Valley” Scott said. Previous Exhibitions have attracted people from across Australia and around the world.

The Gallery is located at the unique Gladstone Hall and has very good lighting and air conditioning facilities. Gladstone has become a cultural centre for the Macleay Valley with many locals and tourists regularly visiting its galleries and restaurants. This will be Scott’s 11th exhibition at Gladstone with many people returning to view Scott’s work year after year.

Scott has been exhibiting and selling paintings on the Mid North Coast for over 27 years and his paintings and prints hang in many private collections in Australia and internationally in the USA, England, Finland, Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

So if you would like to see some fantastic contemporary art in a beautiful setting why not bring your family and friends to the Exhibition and have a look.
